Why 'Brooklyn Nine Nine' Is Your Ultimate Binge

 Heyyo everybody!

Welcome back to month 18 of #faltufriday!

Brooklyn Nine Nine. A show that I've watched over nine (million) times :P

Anyone who knows me, would describe me as an absolute fanatic of watching TV shows; but, there are a few which are very close to me-which include 'Friends' and 'Brooklyn Nine Nine'(and many more)

There's a gazillion reasons why I love watching this one particular TV serial over and over again; and also recommending it to EVERY SINGLE PERSON EVER.

This led me to decide, why not share my crazy obsession about it with the whole world?

So without further ado, lets get to it!

For anyone who is unaware of what the show is about, its basically a cop comedy featuring various aspects and stories from a closely knit squad of the NYPD in the 99th precinct.

Besides the 'die hard' fan of Die Hard, the protagonist Jake Peralta, being my favourite character, there are numerous reasons why I'm in LOVE with the show. Here's just a few:

Why do I love it so much?

  • Firstly, I love detective stories. Spy, Murder Mysteries, Thrillers-one of my favourite genres. Brooklyn Nine Nine fits right into it. Each episode is so carefully curated and written, with subplots and unexpected turns, it keeps you on the edge of the seat, every single time.

  • Besides this, it also provides quite a few instances of pretty valuable 'life advices'. Few of them include:
    - Not letting other's hate deter you from your goal: Captain Raymond Holt fought through excessive homophobia and racism and came up to his position on his own merit
-Being immature is a good thing(sometimes): Jake's immaturity was a continuous storyline throughout the 8 seasons of the show. The show portrays several scenes where he acts like an absolute goofball, but many a times it helps solve the biggest plots.
    - Be confident: 2 words- Gina Linetti.

  • Nonetheless, the show also keeps it real, throwing limelight on various important topics existing in today's world-in the best possible way; be it feminism, racism, police brutality or homophobia.

  • Deep inside, we all want to be a bit of Rosa: Be it her fearless confidence or her freakishly smart brain, she gives us a strong feeling of empowerment. She shows us that it's okay to be strong and firm as long as you're not hurting anyone.
  • "Cool cool cool cool cool" is definitely my motto anytime something untoward happens, helping me deal with it in a lot easier way, because its "cool". Sab theek ho jayega🤷🏻‍♀️

  • Last but not the least, the amazing, inclusive cast. Unlike most tv shows, B99 made sure to include characters from all over the world-and not just as a "compulsion."
Alright, I won't give out any more "spoilers", but if you ever wanna hear me ramble more about my love for this show, make sure to hit me up!

Brooklyn Nine Nine, is some what as a comfort show to me and I hope it can be yours too :)
That was it for today's post!
