Heyy! Welcome back to month 6 (OMG 6?!) of #faltufriday where I talk about something totally random. Aaj ka post is based on my passion for photography and how I relish performing it.

Now I'm not the kind of person who understands literature and 'hidden meaning' inside pictures blah blah; like I can never do that kinda stuff :P 

I really enjoy nature photography; mainly of water bodies and trees.

Here are few of my favourite clicks and the stories behind why I love them.


Number 1: 

Bruadarach 


I am personally very fond of this click because it shows the real beauty of nature. There's zero filters applied on this picture and the image just gives out calm vibes to me.  It exhibits a very serene and quite atmosphere and the serendipity of the colours in the sky is just exhilarating. I took this picture a couple of weeks ago and have been obsessed ever since. I love it because this scene was there for just a second I knew that I needed to take THE shot and I did. Most of you might have seen this already on my social media account, nevertheless, here's a better look of it.

Number 2 : 

Cathect


This picture was taken on one of the best days of my life and it's probably the reason I love it so much. I had gone on a trip with my best friends and we didn't get a single picture except for this one. We were literally throwing stones and trying to climb up the tree to get the coconuts to fall down. Has to be one of my most cherished memories. Fun fact: I took it on a hammock :)

Number 3 : 

Sang-froid


The main reason  I love this picture is due to the mix in the colours in the sky and a silhouette vibe attached to the picture. The sky at the time was actually yellow but while adjusting the lighting on my phone, it started giving a pinkish-orange hue to the sky and I just knew that I had to take a click that second.

Number 4 : 

Nubivagant


The cloud formation. That's it. That's the entire beauty of this picture. It's enough to speak a thousand words. 

Number 5 : 

Psithurism



i.e. the sound of wind in the trees and rustling of leaves. I took this picture by accident :P Basically, I was riding on a horse and my camera opened up accidently and instead of closing the app, I clicked on the camera button. After getting down I saw the picture that was taken, and I was flabbergasted.

Okay! So that was it for today! Thank you so much for such a great month. The Broken Hot Chocolate Machine

 I've been in college for about over a month now. In the 40 days I've spent here, I've visited the food hall over 100 times - of which the Hot chocolate machine has been broken for over 90. Bombay's humidity was quickly replaced by Boston's "Fall" (it's winter guys) and the only thing helping me through the transition was a cup of hot chocolate every morning. But about 2 weeks in, the hot chocolate machine broke.       Initially, a piece of paper, closely stuck by tape, lay pressed against the machine: " Hot Chocolate Machine is Broken! "  4 weeks in, it's now a laminated sheet of paper, carefully stuck to the machine. Someone took the time to type it out onto a computer, print it, cut it, have it laminated, and stick it up to the machine. Do you know what they could be doing in that time? The Constant Comparison Circle

"Wish I had hair like them." "How do they manage being the best at EVERYTHING?" "They're so fit  - look at me: a couch potato" We've all compared ourselves with the people around us. We all compare ourselves with the people around us. We get jealous, begrudged and green with envy. And sometimes we just smile to not let the world know. We get insecure. We feel bad. But what we always forget to accept is the state of the situation. Our situation - their situation. Literally no one out there is a 100% happy with their lives. And, unlike the cliches, maybe we shouldn't be.  Who said that you have to be happy all the time? If you're happy all the time then how do you become a better version of yourself? Consistency and the 4 Year Special

Lewis If you go to the gym for the first time, and you work out, and you come back, you look in the mirror, you will see... Nothing. Is a Fresh Start Always the Best Thing?

 Before starting Junior year, I pledged to myself that I would make it "my year." I would study super hard, I'd make a million friends, and I'd come under the teacher's radar. Jump to September 2022,  I was burnt out. Walking back home with earphones plugged in, I remembered the first line of this post. And then I also realised how incredibly stupid it was of me to think I could ever accomplish it. Now don't get me wrong, it wasn't stupid because it was unattainable; it was stupid because it was unsustainable. Many a time, when we wish to just give up everything and "move on" ( start completely fresh), we tend to forget our past and our learnings from it. That is (one of) the biggest mistake we as humans make. Rather than acknowledging a fact, we tend to ignore it and act like nothing happened because after all, Ignorance is Bliss, na?
