A Bad Day
Heyy!!
Welcome back!!
We've all had our ups and downs. Whether it's a bad day at home or at school, there are some days which just aren't yours. Perhaps you woke up on the wrong side of the bed or got scolded for something or just felt lonely. Maybe you felt like Antonio from 'The Merchant Of Venice' who didn't know the reason for his melancholic mood.
You should know that's its completely fine and we all go through it very often.
Nevertheless, the bigger question is how to overcome it. I have jotted down a few of my favourite ways on how I like to de-stress at the end of a bad day.
- My most preferred one is binging TV shows. I make myself a tub of popcorn and start binging 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S'. Its one of my favourite shows and it goes without saying how iconic it is. It lightens up my mood in a few minutes and helps me forget about the stressful day I had.
- Another one I'm very fond of is Talking. Sharing what you feel with a friend or trusted person really helps a lot. I give a call to my best friend and just start blabbering. We have the most random conversations and really helps me forget the terrible day I had.
- If you're kind of an introvert and don't prefer doing this then another great option is reading or writing. It is extremely calming and therapeutic.
- You can also try pursuing your hobby. I personally am fond of dancing so I play my jam, dance my feelings out and clear my head. It really takes your mind off regular life routine.
- Last but not least, crying. People think that crying makes you a weak person but trust me, it doesn't. It is extremely important to express how you feel. Crying is a healthy process of communicating with your emotions and helps you compose yourself.
Of course, there are multiple other ways you can relax, like meditating and going for a walk too :)

To conclude, its a bad day, not a bad life :)

DeleteHi Kuhu! I read your post and... uh its really nice and relatable. I just have 1 question. So I'm a kind of person who tends to dwell on the negatives of a bad day. And although the tips you gave help me receive temporary relief from the bad day, the CAUSE of its negativity lingers and often strikes me at random odd hours and ruins my entire day whenever that happens. Can you tell me a way I can deal with this?
