Friendships are like Chicken Nuggets in a small kadhai.

I promise this metaphor will make sense by the end of this post.
Hello everyone and welcome backzo!

We've all had friendships. We all have friendships. We all will have friendships.
There's a reason I used the past and future tense here.

Now this post is not going to be about the childhood friendships we've all grown up with and have been tight-knit since we were 4.
This post is going to be about those friendships which didn't last so long.

Now I think we can all relate to the fact that we're not close to every single person we knew in 2nd grade.
I, for a matter of fact, had invited my entire class for my birthday in 2nd and now I don't even follow half of them on social media.

But let's jump to life during and post-high school for a bit (thora aur relatable)

High school: things start getting all mixed up.
Everybody gets serious about their future – some are prepping for college entrances; some for the SAT. It's pretty much a given that you won't be bumping into those familiar faces every single day throughout the rest of your life.

However, the most important part of this journey is the people you voyage it with.

The important part is not that you aren't close to these people anymore or you don't get to see them as often; it's the fact that you internally know that the time you spent was, simply, worth it
That the friendships you made are something you can look back 10 years later - starring at a birthday card - and just say:
"We aren't close anymore - but I loved the time we spent together while it lasted"

It's about the memories you form. It's about how that person shapes you.
Quality. Not Quantity.

Friendships are like Chicken Nuggets in a small kadhai.
(or assume a vegetarian item here - I thought of this blog while frying chicken nuggets so <3)
Everyone's fried in the same kadhai but there's no saying whose plate we end up in. All we can really do is cherish the time we spend together in the tiny little kadhai.

That was it for today! I hope you could relate to the same :)

Signing off,
