Burnout After 10th.

(Another B99 reference!)

 Hey everyone and welcome back!

Today's post is quite personal because this is something that I went through recently and I know a lot of my peers did too.
The underlying fact however is, none of us want to admit it.

For most of you who don't know, I recently passed 10th grade a couple of months ago and I am just a few weeks into Grade 11. I spoke about my experience in 10th grade: Here but I wanted to talk about what happens after 10th grade.

In simple words,
A slump.
(Keep in mind, I'm authoring this post just 2 months into 11th grade)

I recently hit a slump (probably still in it haha) which led me to think, why not talk about it? Most people are going through one?

The fact is that, at least in an Indian education system, people put a lot of pressure on 10th Grade - and that pressure is valid. 10th is super important for life and you need to work hard this year.
What most people discard is that we burn ourselves out SO much that we start slacking the next year.

This is what happened with me, my classmates, my seniors and basically everyone I know.

That mood, motivation and will just seems to disappear the second we complete our boards.

As I was unaware of the slump I hit, it was a great issue for me.
In 10th grade, though I wouldn't be studying 24x7, majority of my time would go into books and being prepared before hand.
In 11th, I wasn't. I actually studied my chapters just a day before the exams solely because I couldn't get myself to sit in front of my books earlier. And needless to say, they didn't go as well as 10th grade.

10th to 11th is a huge shift, as any teacher or senior would say.
Something I wish I had known was that this IS going to happen and it's normal for it to, because, you need a setback once in a while to get better.

The main purpose of mine to author this post to let my peers know that I'm in the same boat as them and juniors know that this IS going to happen to you and you ARE going to find your way through it - on your own.
Everyone has different styles of learning and spreading "gyaan" is going to be futile.

That was it for today! Hope y'all enjoyed reading about my experience with Burnout post 10th grade.
Don't forget to share and follow if you relate and let me know your experiences in the comments below!

Signing off,

Kuhu :)
