Why 'Brooklyn Nine Nine' Is Your Ultimate Binge

Image
Heyyo everybody! Welcome back to month 18 of #faltufriday! Brooklyn Nine Nine. A show that I've watched over nine (million) times :P Anyone who knows me, would describe me as an absolute fanatic of watching TV shows; but, there are a few which are very close to me-which include 'Friends' and 'Brooklyn Nine Nine'(and many more) There's a gazillion reasons why I love watching this one particular TV serial over and over again; and also recommending it to EVERY SINGLE PERSON EVER.  This led me to decide, why not share my crazy obsession about it with the whole world? So without further ado, lets get to it! For anyone who is unaware of what the show is about, its basically a cop comedy featuring various aspects and stories from a closely knit squad of the NYPD in the 99th precinct.  Besides the 'die hard' fan of Die Hard, the protagonist Jake Peralta, being my favourite character, there are numerous reasons why I'm in LOVE with the show. Here's just

Murder Mysteries and Me :)

I can't remember a time before I discovered the wonders of spy thrillers and murder mysteries. Ever since my childhood, I have always had a fantasy for crime fiction and detective stories. Be it the brilliant writings of Carolyn Keene in “The Nancy Drew” series, or the amazing direction of Dan Goor in “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, solving puzzles has always fascinated me. The Brooklyn Nine-Nine episode titled “The Bank Job” is my favourite from the show. It was filled with various instances of thrill and suspense and the ending was absolutely shocking leaving me wanting more. As a person who enjoys problem-solving, this genre has resonated with me. The reason why I love reading as well as watching shows from this category is that it always keeps me on the edge of my seat. Twists and turns, clandestine subplots and innumerable possibilities, all to add up against the one person you suspect the least. The enthralling escapade of reading about one’s imagination and how they bring it to life

Wait..3 years already?

Literally shivering in disbelief as I author this blog because OH MY GOD IT'S BEEN THREE FULL YEARS TO BLOGGING!!!! Thank you to every single person out there who's read/is reading my blogs and has supported me in this journey. I genuinely did not think 3 years would pass by so quick and blogging would become such an important - and a root to several other journalistic pursuits - activity for me. So, once again, I owe it all to you guys :) I love you. I spent an unrealistically excessive amount of time thinking about what to author for this year's 'blog-iversary' (hoping this catches on haha) but finally came to a conclusion which I hope you all enjoy :) Blast from the past? 3 years on paper doesn't seem like much. But when you break it up into 36 months, 1095 days, and 1,576,880 minutes... So much has happened in the past 3 years and it would only make sense to share some stats with you guys :) For starters, this is my 159th blog post! We built a community of

T.V. Show Recommendations

Image
Ok first things first, wishing y'all a very Merry Christmas. Welcome back to month 5 of #faltufriday where I talk about something totally random.  I took your suggestions and lot of ya'll wanted to know my top 5 show recommendations so here we go :) Number 5: The Good Place I've personally been really fond of this show since last year because its so different from the others. The entire concept and characters of the story is just incredible. T he first season follows Eleanor Shellstrop , a lady invited after her demise to "the Good Place", a profoundly particular Heaven-like perfect world planned and run by eternity "draftsman" Michael as a compensation for her upright life. The Good Place is where the individuals who have been acceptable for the duration of their lives go whenever they have died. At the point when Eleanor shows up at the Good Place, she understands she has been confused with another person, and looks for help from another companion to

Jealously-The Ugly Emotion

Image
In all honesty, this post is inspired from my immense obsession of Brooklyn Nine-Nine . This idea clicked me when I was watching this episode(for the 99th time :)) Jealously-The Ugly Emotion Lets be real, we've all felt this sense of envy towards another person at some point of our lives. Be it them excelling at something or celebrating an event, there's always that small emotion in your heart that keeps you from 100% being happy for them. Now that's not always a bad thing, except when it gets frequent, it can be closely linked to your FOMO .  I'll get to the part on how to deal with this, but first let's answer the question, Why do we feel it? You fear the fact that someone might be getting better than you and to curb that you fill your minds with thoughts that 'make you feel better about yourself'. We as humans are extremely insecure about a lot of things. Be it social image or self- we constantly try to 'show' that we're some kind of person

Mental Health Myths

Image
Hey everyone! Welcome back<3 Today's post is based on an EXTENSIVELY researched one which I've been working on since last year.  Several Instagram questionnaires, talking with professionals to even my own experience around these.    Super hard decision to narrow these down to just top 5, but hey, gonna do a part two soon if y'all want it :) All of us have had various misconceptions about different topics and many of its branches such as Anxiety, OCD , Bipolar Disorder, Depression, etc. This post is not gonna cover any particular topic in depth rather the ones we hear in all of our day to day lives, with regards to "Mental Health". Without further ado, let's get to it! We can all agree that we HAVE heard this at least once in our lives. I guarantee you have. It's time we bust this myth hmm? MENTAL DISORDERS AND GOING TO THERAPY DOES NOT MAKE YOU WEAK. Let's have that cleared out. This is no more true than saying that a broken leg is a sign of weakne
