Setbacks

(We've all probably seen this image on social media)

Hello everyone and welcome back!

A lot of times we feel as if we are over a particular incident or a person.
However, sometimes we are greeted with the reoccurrence of the same feeling.

Sometimes a little milder, or sometimes worse - most of us aren't able to recognize and combat this and end up spiraling.
I've had it, you have probably too, and chances are, everyone out there has or will.

It's natural and human but our minds make us believe its not.

In today's post I'll be getting into Setbacks and discuss why it can helpful to us and how to work through them.
Note: I won't be getting into it from a serious disorder perspective rather one which we all feel at regular intervals as I'm not a professional!

Without further ado, let's get to it!

Setbacks: A step back.

When we go through one, we hate it.
"Why me?", right?

We may blame ourselves, be angry at ourselves.
How did I let this happen to myself again?

There are innumerable causes behind it, each different for a person.
For someone it may be the relapse of FOMO, for someone the loss of a particular person or maybe just a change in general for the other.

Setbacks can shatter your self-confidence if you don't notice them but the day you do, they can inspire you. The reason behind it - to make you better.

We honestly don't realize the progress we make unless we have a bump in the road. And that's human nature. This is also where good friends come in handy as they help you realize a setback, help you through it and also celebrate you when you're thriving.

The truth is, when you overcome that setback, you can look back and be proud of yourself for getting yourself through it. And each time you hit a bump, you're able to apply better and better ways, growing through it, and helping yourself cope with it.

Setbacks happen to the best of us. They are somewhat like wake up calls ringing to inform us that  something is happening and should incent us to consider doing something different.

To put it in the simplest of words, Setbacks are like Colds.

They come and go occasionally, sometimes you know the cause and sometimes you don't. You feel low and unwell for a short time. In the process of this, you learn different methods to help you get back on your feet. In the end, you do recover. It's the same with setbacks. With each cold, your immunity gets stronger and with each setback, your brain.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!

Dealing with setbacks can be the next bigger challenge.
